Do you find bars boring? My friends don’t?
I really don’t drink a lot or go to bars. In college I went to bars because I liked the bands and I Iiked to dance, but then I grew out of it. My girlfriend and her husband like to go to bars. I find sitting in those places really boring. I recently visited and my girlfriend turned to me and said at the bar, you know you are the only friend that I know of that only has like one beer. Most of my other friends would have had 3 or 4 beers right now. Then she laughed. I’m on a tight budget too and that was another reason I wasn’t having anymore drinks. Then I look around and I feel like we are the older bunch now. Most of the bar patrons are a lot younger.
There are those people who just need to be around lots of people. Then there’s others who are more sociable than others and feel comfortable in a crowd and like the bar scene for socialization. You’re on who’s “been there, done that” and don’t relate to having the need for anything but close friends and maybe a few people around on occasion. Some people never tire of the bar scene. If it bores you, then bow out of the invites, especially if you’re tight on a budget.
