Mercer Gold Corporation (OTC BB:MRGP) recently reported results from the Company’s gold exploration program at the Guayabales Gold Project, located in the Marmato Gold District of Colombia: Initial work has potentially identified two new areas of gold mineralization and alteration, similar in style of alteration and structure to the three primary areas of interest identified in earlier work and described in the Company’s previously released technical report. Based on the limited sampling, additional work is necessary to confirm the presence of the two new zones.
MRGP is focused on gold exploration and resource definition in Colombia. The Company acquired the prospective Guayabales Project, located in the Marmato Gold District, Department of Caldas, earlier in 2010. Mercer is exploring the Guayabales property and is seeking to acquire additional prospective gold properties in Colombia.
MAG Silver Corp. (AMEX:MVG) recently reported a first mineral resource estimate for the Pozo Seco molybdenum (moly)-gold discovery on its 100% owned Cinco de Mayo property in northern Chihuahua State, Mexico. Results confirm that Pozo Seco is a significant high grade molybdenum and gold deposit. MAG is also providing the diamond drill results for 13 holes (Holes CM10-241 to CM10-266) drilled on the Pozo Seco property all of which are included in the resource estimate. The deposit remains open to the northeast and southwest in several places adjoining these latest holes. Metallurgical test work is underway. Pozo Seco is an oxide molybdenum / gold deposit and the metallurgical test work is looking at leach and floatation methods for recoveries. Results are expected by month end.
MVG is focused on district scale projects located within the Mexican Silver Belt. Our mission is to become one of the premier companies in the silver mining industry. MAG is conducting ongoing exploration of its portfolio of 100% owned properties in Mexico including a silver, lead and zinc discovery and a moly-gold discovery at its 100% owned Cinco de Mayo property in Chihuahua State. MAG and Fresnillo plc are jointly delineating a significant new silver vein discovery on the Juanicipio Joint Venture in Zacatecas State. The total contained metals at the Juanicipio property on a 100% project basis in the Indicated Resource are 83 million ounces of silver, 210,000 ounces of gold and 155 million pounds of lead and 269 million pounds of zinc. The Inferred Resources contain an additional 106 million ounces of silver, 356,000 ounces of gold and 301 million pounds of lead and 498 million pounds of zinc.
Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:APC) recently reported that they have discovered another significant oil source offshore of Ghana at the two Owo prospect in the Deepwater Tano Block. The well encountered approximately 174 net feet of high-quality oil pay in two zones of stacked Turonian-age reservoir sands contained within a gross vertical reservoir interval of more than 500 feet. Owo marks the partnership’s third substantial discovery offshore Ghana and continues to enhance the gross resource potential of this prolific area and validate the quality of our geologic models. The company plans to continue an active drilling program offshore Ghana through the end of this year and into 2011 with multiple appraisal wells planned for both the Tweneboa field and now the adjacent Owo discovery. Also the Owo-1 well has been drilled to a total depth of approximately 12,765 feet in about 4,685 feet of water.
In addition, Anadarko expects to resume the westward expansion of their exploration activity in the Cretaceous Fan play, where they’ve identified more than 30 prospects and leads with size and geologic characteristics similar to the Jubilee field across their 8-million-gross-acre position offshore Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
APC engages in the exploration and production of oil and gas properties primarily in the United States, the deepwater of the Gulf of Mexico, and Algeria. It markets natural gas, crude oil, condensate, and oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs), as well as owns and operates natural-gas gathering, processing, treating, and transportation systems.

Rancho Llano Seco $82.85 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Rancho Llano Seco was a 17,767acre (71.90 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Butte County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pio Pico to Sebastian Keyser (Kayser). Llano Seco means dry plains in Spanish. The grant extended along the east bank of the Sacramento River south of present day Chico. The four square league grant, provisionally made in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena, was confirmed in 1845 by Governor Pico. Sebastian Keyser (d.1850), born in Austria, was a trapper who had accompanied John Sutter in 1838 from Missouri, through New Mexico to California. Keyser went to Oregon but returned in 1841 to work for Sutter at his Rancho New Helvetia. In 1845, Sebastian Keyser became owner of a half interest in Rancho Johnson. He settled on the Bear River, and married Elizabeth Rhoads. Keyser sold his interest in the ranch to Charles James Brenham in 1849.
