Diamond Powder and Dresser-Different Interesting Forms of Diamond

Apart from jewelries diamond has other forms which serve useful purposes. The micron powder has particles in the shape of fine blocks and therefore provides it with sharp cutting features along with uniform size and the constant rate of stock removal.

 

Another very useful form of diamond is the diamond dresser. Especially themulti point diamond dresser is suitable for the application of uneven dressing of grinding wheels. These contain huge natural diamonds and these multi point diamond dressers can be used to the great extent without any resetting orre-sharpening of the diamond.

There are various ranges of this multi pointed diamond dresser which provide swift dressing and thereby produce reliable and smooth surface on grinding wheel. With the contact of multiple diamond points to the face of the wheel, there is a decrease in the pressure of individual points and this makes them even more durable. There are two categories of multi point diamond dressers:

 

• Cluster typediamond dresser: - In this category, a pair of diamonds is accumulated on the tool and is mainly used for substituting single point diamond dressers. This category of diamond dresser helps in reducing the load of the diamond by bringing in contact the pair of diamonds to the wheel.

• Multi Point Indexable Crown TypeDiamond Dressers: – This category of diamond dresser has diamonds mounted on a circular crown in a way o form a 90 degree angle between the circular crown and the operating plane. After the diamonds get used at their current places, the crown can be adjusted again on the shank.

Thus, it becomes very clear that apart from jewelries there are several other significant forms of diamond.
