Finger Clamp
Something up with my finger…any idea what it could be?
It’s been like this for four days now.
It’s my ring finger on my right hand, it’s swollen to almost double it’s size, next to my fingernail it has gone green, and there is a rather large red lump. It feels like something is clamping down on it, mixed with a burning sensation, which has cause me to be in pain with it all this time, and thought nothing of it. Over the past days, it’s just got worse.
Does anyone know what this could be? I’ve tried the hot water/salt therapy…but that doesn’t seem to help

Have you had a manicure recently? You may have paronychia. It will cause a pus buildup on the side of your nail and swelling throughout. You are doing right witht he hot water and epsom salts, but it may need antibiotics or to be lanced and drained. Go see your general practice doctor and they can advise best treatment since the swelling is spreading beyond mid-finger.
